8th March 2010
Last week has been a joy
really with the weather, glorious blue skies were the order of the day mostly,
this week is warmer but the blue skies have disappeared!!. Just hope that's the snow
over for the year!! Aberdeen City is
really not
getting it's act together about filling pot holes and clearing up sand from the
snow, cars wheels are getting damaged because of the size of the holes!! We seem
to have a proliferation of "For Sale" and "To Let" on Union
Street it really is looking sad and neglected for the sake of the new Union
Square shopping centre. Although the new shopping centre in Market Street
is proving to be a bit of a log jam as there is just too much traffic in one
spot, which has got worse during Christmas and New Year shopping.
Aberdeen Football Club have grabbed all the headlines for the wrong reasons
in their last three games all lost at home. It was marginally better on Saturday
when the got a draw with Hamilton but I think that they can kiss top 6 good by
if they don't improve their scoring rate.
Our winter fours
competition at Murcar was on last saturday but who knows if we will get our last
week played this weekend. Of course it has been decimated by the weather
recently we have only played approximately half of the games we should have.
In the
springtime If your looking for a testing challenge to your game then you
won't find many better examples of links golf with great scenery of our
sandy coastline than Murcar
Aberdeen Property Market; Rental prices certainly leveled
off and decreased in some property types but they still remain fairly constant
across the board. 2 Bedroom properties seem to be the hardest to find as it
makes it cheaper to rent a shared property. Hopefully with the oil prices getting
stronger Aberdeen will probably buck the trend of the rest of the UK and keep
business flowing. The installation of the HMO licenses have also put pressure on the
students finding suitable accommodation. The market for HMO properties is still roaring away! with
properties not staying on the market for more than a few days and prices for
these properties are increasing all the time.
All prospective tenants out there should know that our minimum requirements to letting a property are that you provide the rent!! a deposit equivalent to the first months rent, and a
£55 administration fee, we do require some sort of reference (Previous Landlords or Work Reference).
If you would like to view any of these properties below please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Happy Property Hunting!!
